Arthritis is an inflammation in the joints. A joint is where the two bones meet; due to wear and tear of the cartilage, inflammation in the joints occurs. Symptoms of arthritis are pain and limited function of the joints. Inflammation causes the joints to be stiff, swelling, warmth and redness. Inflamed joint can be tender. Treatments for arthritis include, heat pad, cold packs, physical therapy, paraffin wax dip, anti inflammatory topical and oral medications, immune altering medications and surgery.
